What defines success?

I was thinking a couple of days ago on what's the definition of success? so i decided to search in a dictionary for the definition there were many but i stopped at this one

Success: Attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like

I don't agree on that because many people had positions honors and wealth yes they were successful from the outside but from the inside we dont know.

Since i'm in holiday and i got some time to sit with myself and Oh boy i hate it when i sit with myself, but i have to cause if you don't love yourself or love the way you're how do you expect others to love you or even care and i got the thought Am i successful or not, till now i can't find the answer it's so hard to judge on yourself Are you successful or not?... the other definition



Success: The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted

i was once asked in my first interview in ACES: Do you think bil gates is successful? and i was like yeah sure he is she told me why then, i said because he achieved what he wanted that's his dream and he's living his dream, she said ok how do you see success i told her i believe everyone of us is created for a reason and is good at something the successful person is the one who knows what he is good at.......And i said It's better to be the best garbage man in the block than to be the worst engineer in Egypt i don't know why did i remember this question right now while writing the topic maybe that's the answer that i knew and forgot but is it still the same or did it change with time.

So i guess i can say Success lies in satisfaction


why did i ask that question at first place that's because lately i realized that we're all running and we don't know where we're going along our journey in life we forgot where are we going what are we doing and what do we seek from this journey .... so keep thinking and tell me what do you think success is if you think u're successful tell me why ........
